If you need to take a typing test to get that job you want, it might be time to work on your typing skills.  TypeSpeed is a free web-based application that can help you practice typing and increase your speed.  A free registration is required, but it will keep track of your progress for you.

If you have your own computer, you can download an even better program, RapidTyping, for free.

JobFox

Posted by Sarah on August 12, 2008

JobFox is a new site for jobseekers, and I have to say that after checking it out, I am tempted to describe it as a dating site for employers and jobseekers.  In the beginning, you will create a profile by answering questions about yourself and what you are looking for (or uploading your resume), and then JobFox will match you up with employers that fit your needs.  Then, the site will provide you with an introduction to your most suitable potential employers.

It really does sound like the dating game, right?

On the plus side, after you create your profile, you will be able to create a personal Career Web Page (sample), with a URL that you can put on your resume.

If you try the site out, please let us know what you think by leaving a comment below.  Thanks!

I have to admit that I don’t know much at all about video resumes.  So when someone asked me how to make one, I was at a loss.  Luckily, I found this this site that proved to be very helpful– Job Resumes 2.0: Creating a Video Resume.  It even provides links to examples of good and bad video resumes.  Take a look!
