 JOB TITLE:            Lead Specialist, Communications and Public Relations

Duties:                        Train/direct and perform activities in an assigned area of the Communications and Public Relations Department which include internal/external communications, community relations, and media relations in order to promote customers’ awareness of Division services and to keep employees informed of Division activities.

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communication, Public Relations or related field.  Must have a minimum of 2-4 years professional-level experience in developing, implementing and conducting public relations/community relations and employee communication programs.  May require a thorough knowledge of governmental low-income programs and fundraising depending on assigned area. 

Works majority of the time in office.     

Candidates accepting Employment with MLGW must live and maintain their residence within the boundaries of memphis, tennessee within six months of their employment date.
