Program Assistant

Description: The CACFP Assistant will provide administrative
services to the program, receive and process invoices from providers, answer telephones, perform data entry using Excel/Access software, generate correspondence, and file information.
Qualifications: * High School Diploma or G.E.D.
* One (1) year of relevant work experience.
*Previous USDA or Nutrition experience preferred.
* Knowledge of basic office procedures and effective, accurate skills using a computer. Possess computer skills to include word processing, spreadsheets, database management and the internet.
* Possess a valid Driver’s License with a good driving record.
* Effective oral communication skills to include telephone skills and manners to handle calls in a professional and courteous manner and able to deal successfully with the public in a friendly * Effective writing skills to include knowledge of proper spelling, grammar and punctuation & proofreading and editing skills.
* Organizational skills to organize department procedures and to keep an efficient filing system so that information is easily obtained.

Residential Monitor

Department: Residental Services
Description: The RS Monitor will have the responsibilities of being the direct caregiver for client’s and assist clients with basic needs while being a positive adult role model, actively supervising clients and assuring completion of assigned duties/chores, assist with client activities in the building and in community, maintaining key control, communicating problematic situations to supervisors, assist with dispensing medications, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: * High School Diploma or G.E.D.
* Requires a minimum of one year of experience working with at risk youth.
* Able to set limits and maintain the positive role and the ability to intervene appropriately to meet the needs of the client’s served.
*Ability to exhibit initiative in reporting concerns/issues to the Site Manager.
* Possess a valid Driver’s License with a good driving record.
*Record keeping skills to maintain legible, accurate, up-to-date maintenance logs so that information is readily researched and retrieved.
* Effective oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with diverse groups of people.
* Ability to perceive and deal with sensitive issues while maintaining confidentiality and objectivity.
* Organizational skills to work with minimal supervision and to determine workload priorities in order to balance a heavy workload.

Teacher

Department: Early Head Start
Description: The Teacher will have the responsibilities of being the primary caregiver for one group of children in the Porter-Leath Early Head Start facility.
Qualifications: *Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education reqiured; Bachelors degree is preferred.
*Two (2) years of relevant work experience with children ages zero to three (0-3)years. CPR and
First Aid certification is preferred.
*Knowledge of and the ability to implement developmentally appropriate program for pre-school child care with the ability to provide continuum of care.
*Ability to forge a mutually respectful partnership with persons served and their families, conviction about the capacity of people to grow and change, the ability to set limits and maintain the helping role of the employee and the ability to intervene appropriately to meet the needs of the persons served and their families and the ability to develop trusting relationships within a client’s home.
*Possess a commitment to continued education & improvement to include regular participating in workshops, conferences, training sessions, etc.
*Good organizational skills to determine workload priorities.
* Effective oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with diverse groups.
* Ability to perceive and deal with sensitive issues while maintaining confidentiality and objectivity.

  1. Why are there no replies,negative or positive, to applications done through the internet? It would be a kind gesture and gracious to let an applicant know their application has been received and the status of the application.

  2. If you are really interested in a position and you meet all of the qualifications follow up with the company. There are many reasons why companies do not respond.
