Position Overview
The Friends For Life’s Director of Grants and Contracts Management will serve as the agency’s point of contact to engage in activities necessary to write grants and manage contracts to support the mission of Friends For Life. 
 
Essential Job Functions
Grants and Contract Management
Research grant funding to support mission of Friends For Life.  Write grant proposals to support mission of Friends For Life.  Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual grant and contract reports.  Oversee grant contracts to ensure timely earning of contracts.  Maintain open communications with grant funders.  Review all contracts for accuracy prior to execution.  Maintain all grant and contract information in FR50.  Complete reports as required that show annual levels of grants submitted and funded.  Maintain electronic file of all grant requests, proposals and contracts and other grant/contract related materials.  Other duties as assigned.
Evaluation
Take lead in ensuring agency-wide evaluation program is maintained.  Ensure all program assessments are completed on schedule, data entered into CAREWare and program reports completed on schedule.  Update evaluation forms as necessary.  Complete all reports necessary to maintain up-to-date evaluation data.  Analyze all data to ensure proposed program outcomes are being met.  Other duties as assigned.

Supervise supporting staff.
 
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; Master’s degree preferred.  Five years grant research and grant writing experience preferred.  Five years’ experience in the development of programs to meet the needs of persons with HIV/AIDS preferred.  Proven success in grant writing and securing funding.  Five years experience in the development of programs to meet the needs of persons with HIV/AIDS preferred.  Nonprofit background preferred.  Minimum of 3-5 years management/supervisory experience preferred.  Demonstrated leadership skills.  Effective communication and interpersonal skills.  Working knowledge of MS Windows and MS office suite with an emphasis on MS Word and MS Outlook.  Strong analytical and research skills.  Ability to perceive and deal with sensitive issues while maintaining strict confidentiality.  Ability to maintain objectivity.  Public speaking skills.  Must have own transportation.  An ability to work well with all types of people.  Flexibility.  Regular and predictable attendance is necessary.  Maintain confidential information and adhere to all policies and procedures regarding Protected Health Information(PHI) 
 
Other Skills/Abilities
The ability to work well in a fast pace environment.  Ability to work with deadlines.  Able to multi-task.
 
Physical Demands
Extended periods of standing and sitting.  The ability to lift 20 -25 lbs as needed.
