Every two years, the Partnership for Public Service and the Institute for the Study of Public Policy Implementation at American University (say that three times fast!) produce rankings of federal agencies based upon employee satisfaction. The 2009 rankings were just released, and here are the top 5:
- Nuclear Regulatory Commission
- Government Accountability Office
- NASA
- Intelligence Community
- Department of State

Top 10 Cities for New Grads

This article from CNN outlines the Top 10 Cities for New Grads. According to the article: “The list is based on the ranking of the top U.S. cities with the highest concentration of young adults (age 20 — 24) from the U.S. Census Bureau (2006), inventory of jobs requiring less than one year of experience from CBcampus.com (2009) and the average cost of rent for a one bedroom apartment from Apartments.com (2009).”

JobLab is an open, staff-assisted lab for jobseekers desiring additional help with:
Job-Related Searches, Resume Writing & Formatting, and Online Applications
What to Bring: a floppy disk or flash drive, and all information (job history, dates of employment, contact information, etc.) that will be needed to create a resume or complete an application.
Typing services, printing capabilities and disks will not be available.
Food & drinks are not permitted in the lab, and it is a cell phone – free zone.

Free Resume Printing @ FedEx Office

According to this story from the Commercial Appeal, FedEx Office (formerly known as Kinko’s) will provide free resume printing on Tuesday, March 10th.
FedEx Office “will provide free in-store printing of up to 25 black-and-white resume copies per customer — a $5 to $10 value.” See the link above for full details or call 1-800-Go-FedEx.

Community Foundation Scholarships
