Loads, handles, sorts and records incoming soiled textiles; prepares and transfers to other departments; Folds and feeds into an ironer or folding machine; Packs and sanitizes laundry.

Reading and writing comprehension, High School level education; basic computer and math skills; quality orientation and attention to detail; Open and able to work day or night shifts depending on shift and rotations with long hours. Multi-Craft Technician (A) (B)

 

Manufacturing knowledge and skills in manufacturing through prepared testing. The tests include topics pertaining to hydraulics, pneumatics, basic relay logic, plc control systems, machine and systems control, electrical distribution, basic structures and other maintenance content.  Skills will include layout of complex controls, service and installs of a variety of electrical and mechanical forming and assembly equipment.

Must be able to diagnose trouble events, root cause and adjust/replace to make necessary controls.

High School Diploma and completed apprenticeship

First Class Steam Engineer

 

Record all gas and water meter in Boiler Room, Enenco, Dimer, Emulsifier, cooling towers and city meters. Back wash rinse all filters (feed-water) daily. Run hardness test on all softeners in service every two hours. Regenerate all softeners that are hard. Run all boiler water chemical readings and test every two hours. Take readings on air dryers and centac when in service each shift. Observe well, well water supply and towers. Fill oilier for deep well pump daily and check lubrication rate. Take care of #2 fuel oil storage areas, and record oil levels. Keep Boiler Room and storage areas clean. Keep Engineer II informed of all routine duties performed. Comply with any other duties that may not be routine.  Perform PH readings on water out fall to city every two hours. Monitor pit readings and record on flow.
