Citizens who spot potholes and broken street signs can now report those problems without ever dialing City Hall? Well, that is so long as those citizens have iPhones.
Smart Gov, a free app provided by the city, has a “point, click, and fix” option that allows iPhone users to take photos of potholes and the like and then send them directly to the Public Works department. The technology uses GPS coordinates to map the pictures so city employees can easily find what needs to be repaired.

GreenTech Automotive (GTA) will host a talent meet and greet at its Horn Lake facility today. The event will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and those who attend will be provided more information about GTA. Attendees will also receive information on current and future openings at the company.
GreenTech is currently looking for top engineering talent to help launch a recently introduced product – My Car. The My Car has been making waves lately as it is a Neighborhood Electric Vehicle (NEV). GTA says they are looking for driven, entrepreneurial individuals with strong technical backgrounds and a passion about electric vehicles.
The company is also working with Northwest Mississippi Community College on pre-training programs for line positions.
