                                                  Route Sales Associate – General

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

  • Under general supervision, develops account sales and delivers products to various stores (i.e. grocery, convenience, schools, gas stations, etc.) within the designated route area.
  • Driving delivery truck in and out of the distribution center.  .  The type of truck will vary by route and zone needs, up to and including a 24’ box truck.  .
  • Performs inventory for product cases in truck, loading and unloading products to and from truck and delivering product cases to customer locations, may use a 2-wheel dolly or other rolling product equipment.
  • Displays product on display racks in customer accounts (Store Door Delivery).  May create signs and displays on product.  May be required to build displays of various sizes and heights.
  • Empties product cases, flattens, loads back on truck and returns to the Distribution Center.
  •  Responsible for communicating and selling product promotions, displays and maintaining key locations in high traffic areas within customer locations.
  • Ensures target goals are maintained for sales, waste and safety.  Maintains daily paperwork and cash flow integrity.
  • Directly impacts the sales process having continuous contact with customers.  Decision-making is extensive, which is governed by policy and guided by procedure while focused on daily operations.
  • Previous sales experience a plus. Able to read, write, communicate in English.
  • This is a full time position, averaging 50 hours a week, days off will vary depending on route type, hour may vary, and position may require early more starts in order to accommodate vendor requirements.
  • This position requires working in all weather conditions.
  • A “clear” driving record for the past (3) years is required.  A CDL license is not required.
  • This position analyzes situation accurately, taking effective action; following written and oral instructions; organize and coordinate work; collect, chart and interpret statistical data, calculate mathematical equations, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, analyze and problem solve, communicating tactfully and effectively, working independently in absence of direct supervision; ability to work under narrow time constraints; while maintaining effective work relations with those encountered in the course of employment
  • This position requires passing a pre-employment sales aptitude test, background investigation of work history and criminal check, a drug test and a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Memphis Goodwill is currently seeking an HRIS Analyst

The HRIS Analyst is responsible for the development, implementation, and reporting functions of Memphis Goodwill’s UltiPro Human Resource Information System (HRIS).  This includes set-up and maintenance of an integrated system for HR data management and reporting. Responsible for data integrity, testing system changes and updates, report writing, and analyzing data. The HRIS Analyst will serve as the key user for UltiPro inside Memphis Goodwill by handling system development and enhancement, system training, and resolving system issues.

Essential duties/responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

•       Assists in the review, testing and implementation of HRIS system upgrades or patches. Collaborates with Ultimate Software to coordinate application of upgrades or fixes. Maintains HRIS system tables. Documents process and results.

•       Coordinates project management, development, and implementation of HRIS program.

•       Serves as project leader to include the data collection and design and development of HRIS systems and reports.

•       Responsible for data analysis in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of all HRIS data and employee and company records.

•       Serves as Master Report Writer for UltiPro reports used for analysis and comparison.

•       Collaborates with HR generalists to recommend and implement Best Practice process improvements to drive productivity and efficiency within the HR department and for the company.

•       Coordinates and leads training for employees and managers to ensure that UltiPro is utilized to full capacity.

•       Supports and/or serves as Lead in the coordination of interfaces between other internal systems.

•       Works closely with UltiPro customer support to address issues timely and proactively.

•       Recommends and develops policies and procedures to enhance end user accuracy and ease of use.

•       Manages and maintains uses accounts, security features, and passwords.

•       Inputs and maintains employee and company information in the HRIS program.

•       Maintains awareness of current trends in Human Resource Information Systems with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies.

•       Examines trends in information systems training, materials and techniques. Through classes, reading, CBTs or other mechanisms, continuously increases both HR knowledge and HRIS application/tools knowledge. Regularly participates in user group meetings/conferences.

•       Additional duties assigned by the VP of Human Resources.

 

Minimum Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

•       Five (5) years of experience in HRIS systems, with a minimum of three (3) years of UltiPro or Ultimate software experience required.

•       Bachelor’s degree in computer Science, Information Systems or Human Resources

•       Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) highly preferred

•       Certified Associate in Project Management preferred

•       Advanced knowledge of HRIS/UltiPro database, design, structure and reporting

•       Advanced knowledge of Excel, Report Writer, Word, PowerPoint, MS

•       Strong working knowledge of HR principles and practices required

•       Strong understanding of time reporting, benefits eligibility and enrollment rules, compensation, and payroll

•       Demonstrated knowledge of mathematical and statistical methods to aid in report development and graph and design presentation.

•       Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

•       Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

•       Must adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines

•       Ability to effectively communicate with staff, clients, and other personnel or applicants in a business environment.

•       Ability to work with other staff in a team environment.

MEMPHIS, TN-Memphis Mayor A C Wharton, Jr. and the City of Memphis Office of Youth Services Memphis Ambassadors Program (MAP) announce the official new applicant enrollment period for students entering the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades during the fall of 2014.   3. Cultivates and maintains relationships with agencies and service providers in the community with a particular focus on creating opportunities to provide outreach education and HIV testing to Spanish-speaking clients.
  4. Supports staff in creating educational materials and experiences linguistically and culturally appropriate for Spanish-speaking clients
  5. Attends training programs, seminars, conferences, and other meetings relating to the delivery of HIV related services
  6. Maintains accurate records of HIV testing, client care and referral, education, and outreach activities.
  7. Perform other duties as directed

Job Qualifications:

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in health, education, counseling or related area preferred, fluency in Spanish required.

Experience:  1-2 years of experience in health promotion with Spanish-speaking clients strongly preferred; sexual and/or reproductive health experience preferred

Skills:  Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with youth, parents, community leaders, facilitation, organization, program development, and marketing skills.

Additional Requirements: Demonstrates in cover letter ability to conduct HIV testing and education in Spanish and English

Special Requirements: Committed to Planned Parenthood’s goals and ideals.  Knowledge of family planning and sexual health, HIV/AIDS strongly preferred; accepts a flexible work schedule that includes regular night hours; must have an automobile with current driver’s license and insurance; physically able to lift and carry 25 lbs.
