Einstein Bros Bagels are looking for Bakers, Team Members, and Shift Managers to join the team at both locations, in East Memphis and the newest opening in Bartlett. Compensation is up to $10 per hour.

Job Requirements
Bakers are the core of the business and the restaurants revolve around you and the products you produce! Bakers start as early as 3am! Don’t worry, if you don’t have experience, Einstein’s can teach you!

Shift Managers need a minimum of 1-year restaurant management experience and will be required to pass ServSafe certification.

Conduit Global Job Fair – 3/18/14

conduit globalConduit Global Announces Finalized Date for Recruiting Fair

Conduit Global, the New York-based company that will be opening a large call center in Shelby County, has finalized the date for its initial recruiting event. The recruiting fair will be held on Tuesday, March 18th at the Cook Convention Center, between the hours of 10am and 4pm.

 The recruiting fair, staged in partnership with the Workforce Investment Network (WIN) ,   JobLINC, and BRIDGES, will serve to help source candidates for Conduit’s initial hire of approximately 200 call center agents, and to start on the anticipated subsequent round of approximately 100 additional hires. MATA will be on-site to share information about bus routes to the new Conduit Global location in Cordova.

The event will focus on finding candidates to fill the significant number of Agents, as well as some Support Staff and Management Positions needed to staff the facility. Job descriptions and minimum qualifications for these positions may be found at www.conduitglobal.com.

 Interested parties are encouraged to review these requirements and present at the recruitment fair, equipped with a current resume and prepared for an initial interview. As Conduit’s local work site is not currently open, candidates will only be seen at the recruiting event at this time.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  Works under the general direction of the City Comptroller in the Finance Division, managing the general accounting functions for the City.

  1. Supervises, assigns responsibilities, and evaluates the work performance of the Lead Accountants by providing direction and guidance for assigned activities, monitoring of progress of assigned tasks, and compliance with governmental accounting standards.
  2.  Maintains the financial system general ledger accounting structure to provide for the recording of all accounting transactions in   accordance with the City’s accounting policies and procedures, and related governmental accounting standards.
  3.  Maintains the financial reporting system to provide timely and accurate reports on the City’s financial position and results of operations to management and to the users within the City Divisions.
  4. Provides financial support to the Division operational and financial staff to ensure their access and understanding of the financial data related to their areas of responsibilities including the analysis of data, training, and assistance in financial research.
  5. Coordinates the efforts of the City’s external auditors in the completion of the annual audit of financial records by ensuring that accounting transactions are properly recorded; audit workpapers are completed by the staff; and documentation and reports are provided to the auditors within the requested time period.
  6. Assures the completion of the City Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) including the compilation and review of report schedules and text and the printing and distribution of the completed report.  Submits the CAFR to the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for compliance with the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting.
  7. Manages the accounting and reporting of grant funds to ensure compliance with financial requirements for the grants including the reporting required for the Single Audit grant schedules included in the City’s CAFR.
  8. Maintains current knowledge of governmental accounting standards as promulgated by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) and ensures that the City is in compliance with required standards and that new standards are implemented within the required time period.

Conducts field investigations to collect data used in determining sources of water pollutants. Inspects pollution control equipment for conformance with regulations and installs, operates, and reads water monitoring equipment. Extracts water samples from storm drains and streams for laboratory tests and evaluates data to determine compliance and to assess pollution problems. Enters field data into the computer to produce required annual reports and prepares report of daily activities. Investigates complaints regarding storm water violations and reports findings in oral and written form. Interacts with members of the public to explain water quality issues and assists in performing environmental engineering analyses by examining typographical maps and drainage systems to accurately investigate pollutants and place monitoring equipment.
