MEMPHIS, TN – The annual Rabies Vaccination Drive hosted by the Shelby County Health Department (SCHD) Vector Control Program will be held Saturday, May 6, and Saturday, May 13, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Residents are encouraged to bring their dogs and cats to either location listed below to receive rabies vaccinations:

Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library

3030 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38120

Fire Station #66

Although the majority of rabies cases occur in wildlife, most humans will need the rabies vaccine after being exposed to infected domestic animals.  It is affordable to vaccinate pets before they are exposed to animals carrying the rabies virus.
