Works under general supervision of an Agency Manager or other designated supervisory personnel to provide public information services at the general reference desk in the areas of children, teen, and adult references and readers’ advisory to the public. Works at various library agencies to assist with the collection and development of library materials. Recommends appropriate reading materials for adults, teens and children to library management. Works in teams with various library personnel to perform professional library services, such as assisting customers with computers, identifying books in a collection, etc. Provides basic circulation desk services, as needed. Assists with planning and/or conducting programs for children, teens, and adults. Lifts and carries books, supplies, or materials to assist customers. Stocks library shelves with books and reading materials. Assists in training staff and volunteers, as assigned.

Job Title: Register Nurse Dispatch Operator (Part-time) – Fire Services/EMS

Works under the general supervision of the Watch Commander or other assigned supervisor in the Communications Service Center.  Operates a telephone switchboard system, Telecommunications Device for the Deaf (TTY/TDD) system, computer-aided dispatch (CAD) system, paging system, video monitor and receiver, and radio console to provide fire dispatcher services and information to the public.  Receives and responds to non-emergent triaged calls.  Evaluates incoming requests for non-emergent calls and/or complaints to determine and employ appropriate responses and actions.  Asks scripted Emergency Communications Nurse System (ECNS) questions based on type of complaint and advises callers of appropriate medical actions to take.  Calls local resources to arrange for alternate care and set up appointments and transportation for non-emergent callers.  Provides important information to appropriate personnel and members of the general public.  Maintains and updates various lists and electronic files to disseminate accurate and timely information as required upon request.
