We are actively recruiting for the following positions:

  • Warehouse Associates – these positions are responsible for receiving, loading, and/or organizing freight.
  • Shipping Specialists – this position will ensure that all packages are shipped out in a timely manner.

All Candidates must have good communication, organization and memorization skills.  Must be able to use pallet jacks, forklifts, and other machinery (i.e. compactors, balers, etc.).  Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand on your feet for long periods of time.  Previous forklift experience/certification is a plus.

  • Data Entry Specialists – this position will ensure that all packages are properly identified, categorized and keyed into the system.

The Data Entry Specialist position will require great computer skills, must be able to type 35 wpm, must have excellent spelling and grammar, attention to detail and be able to work in a warehouse environment.

Our starting pay is $10.50 per hour. Full Time Employees are offered benefits that include: (some benefits began first day of employment and others will be after 90 days of employment).

Navigator Job Opening – Family Safety Center

Family Safety Center The Family Safety Center of Memphis and Shelby County, Inc. is a non-profit organization located in Memphis, TN, whose purpose is to effectively combine civil, criminal, health and social services in order to help victims of family violence.  We are seeking a Navigator who is highly motivated to assist clients and process their individualized needs through the various services provided with partner agencies.  This position will report to the Director of Program Operations and will be an integral part of the growth of the organization.  This is a grant funded position.

Status:                          Permanent Full-Time

FLSA:                          Exempt

Hours:                          8:00am to 4:30pm Monday – Friday, other as required

PRIMARY PURPOSE: To develop and respond to requests for information and proposals; to collaborate with various subject matter experts to ensure the proposal is completed timely and accurately; and to provide oversight of quality and cohesiveness of response.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reviews and responds to requests within the business development group, including requests for information and proposals; provides initial draft of each request to various subject matter experts as needed and incorporates any needed edits or updates to the response as directed.
  • Coordinates review of the requests for information or proposal with all necessary subject matter experts within different departments of the company.
  • Responds to follow up requests as assigned; determines and maintains the timeline for each response to ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Updates language on web-based RFP database.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Supports the organization’s quality program(s).

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Licensing
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.

Experience
 Two (2) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required to include one (1) year of project management experience and one (1) year of proofing/editing experience. Experience with Qvidian software a plus.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong grammar and proofreading skills
  • Knowledge of appropriate software
  • Good project management skills
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Good oral and written communication, including presentation skills
  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to work in a fast paced high pressure environment
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies
