Job Title: HRIS Operations Supervisor

Works under the direction of the HR Operations Manager for the  development, implementation, and maintenance of all information systems supporting human resources services in collaboration with the Information Services Division.  Supervises staff to monitor the effectiveness of HR information systems and to receive, review, and resolve requests or complaints regarding system/data errors or deficiencies.  Researches various information management solutions to determine best practices and technology to improve productivity and enhance effectiveness of processes to meet HR business needs.  Collaborates with Information Services to coordinate the resolution of high-level technical/programming issues.  Leads and supervises technical staff in major HR information systems maintenance and enhancement projects including tracking progress of development, testing and implementation and reporting status as needed.  Prioritizes HRIS projects and the use of resources based on overall divisional data and information management needs under the direction of the HR Operations Manager.  Ensures necessary communication to system users for effective operations. Coordinate with data supervisor to manage  data input into the HRMS system as it relates to maintenance/enhancement projects.  Develops reporting specifications in support of HR operational needs and coordinates with Information Services to create, update, and maintain HR data and reports.  Evaluates and manages the response to complex data and information requests from internal and external requestors including extensive use of databases, spreadsheets, etc.  Plans and implements major, on-going data maintenance projects.  Develops training programs for HR users and end users including related training manuals.  Supervises a staff in supporting owners of HR systems including audit processes to ensure the integrity of the system.   Plans and oversees the testing of new processes, reports, etc.  Ensures the HR division hardware inventory is reconciled with Information Services.  Recommends updates and upgrades to address software needs and maintain desktop/ equipment standards.  Supervises subordinates personnel and provides work direction, assign duties, evaluate work performance and discipline assigned personnel. Interact and communicate verbally and in writing with manager regarding HR issues and concerns. Create prepares a variety of correspondent memorandums and reports by utilizing various computer applications.

Job Title: Public Safety Recruitment Coordinator (2 openings)

Works under the direction of the Public Safety Talent Manager to coordinate and assist in administering the recruitment, application, testing, and selection process for prospective Public Safety positions for the Police and Fire Divisions.  Coordinates the overall recruitment process for Public Safety positions.  Strives to achieve staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates.  Coordinates internal and external job pipeline opportunities for the divisions.  Manages full cycle recruiting process to meet various staffing needs.  Assists in the development and implementation of recruiting programs. Develops an on-going recruiting plan. Prepares schedules for a continuous employment process.  Works closely with hiring managers to maximize effectiveness of the recruiting process.  Researches and determines applicant requirements for job descriptions and qualifications.  Interprets hiring standards at various steps in the hiring process to ensure consistency. Recommends new policies and practices. Develops and maintains various databases to track applicant’s status.  Tracks and reports key metrics designed to measure and predict staffing activity.  Coordinates candidate assessments, background checks, drug screenings, and medical examinations for applicants. Schedules, administers, and scores written aptitude tests.  Monitors all necessary applications and related documents for selected applicants to be employed and placed on payroll.  Conducts interviews and recommends candidates for open positions.  Serves on applicant review/interview boards and gives input on acceptance of applicants.  Assists in the implementation and coordination of the path programs.

Works under the direction of the Public Safety Talent Manager to assist in administering the application and selection process for prospective Public Safety positions for the Police and Fire Divisions.  Assists the Public Safety Coordinators, Analysts, and Programs Lead in coordinating the overall recruitment process for prospective Public Safety positions.  Maintains various databases to track applicant’s status.  Prepares and maintains detailed reports utilizing Microsoft applications and Applicant Tracking software as needed.  Maintains written aptitude tests specialized for applicants.  Prepares necessary documents for recruiting events.  Schedules candidates to complete medical examination and drug screening paperwork for applicants and documents results.  Prepares and maintains a master Personnel file including applications and related documents for each selected applicant.  Ensures that the payroll system is set up properly for each selected applicant.  Schedules employees for New Employee Orientations and benefits processing.  Maintains the Employee Referral Bonus Program.
