 Program Overview

Youth Villages’ Residential Treatment programs serve children with emotional and behavioral problems. Our residential campuses provide the setting for an intensive treatment program that combines the unique balance of structure and freedom. This enables children and their families to identify, understand and cope with their individual needs and develop the skills necessary to succeed in less restrictive settings. We have three different types of facilities—Intensive Residential Centers, Open Campuses, and Group Homes. Located in Tennessee and Georgia, all of these facilities utilize the Re-Education of Emotionally Disturbed Children therapy model (Re-Ed).

Job Responsibilities

Sweep, mop, wax, strip, scrub, and buff all types of floor surfaces.
Surface clean carpets with an extractor

High School Diploma or GED preferred. Not required

Valid Driver License required, Pass a criminal Background Check & Fingerprinting.
1 year experience as a floor tech in a related work environment required;
Must be able to lift cleaning equipment (must be able to lift 75 pounds or more).
Must be able to operate all needed floor equipment for all floor surfaces including carpet and hardwood.
Must have a strong knowledge of striping, waxing, buffing, and cleaning all floor surfaces.
Ability to work different hours as needed.

Position Overview
Teaches the children necessary life skills and provide for their physical daily care.
Assists in treatment planning for each child.
Conducts daily documentation such as contact notes, milieu notes, and precautionary notes.
Participates in client transports to various locations
Participates in recreation therapy with children.
Improves children’s behavior through coping skills and other therapeutic interventions.
Conducts group and 1 on 1 counseling sessions

Additional Information
The TC (Teacher Counselor) schedule runs either Sun-Wed or Wed-Sat
Three weekdays: (M-W or W-F) 2:00pm-10:30pm
One weekend day: 6:30am-10:30pm
Some TCs spend the night once or twice a week on the campus and have additional responsibility for waking the residents and directing them with their morning routine.  This schedule also provides counselors with a three day weekend. (Please note: Counselors do not live on the campuses and are responsible for securing their own residencies.)  Each campus differs on their schedule structure and rotations and can be discussed further with a specific hiring manager.

Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree is required
Experience working with at-risk youth a major plus
Experience working with youth is required
Excellent written, verbal, and oral skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Basic computer knowledge
Ability to maintain a flexible schedule

The Assistant to the Dean for Community Engagement provides leadership for a number of library-wide projects and programs that are directed to the community.  The incumbent assumes key responsibilities in the areas of development, public relations, outreach, and public programming. S/he will provide leadership for planning and organizing public programs sponsored by the University Libraries. S/he will establish and maintain partnerships with campus and/or community groups and/or individuals that might provide and/or support programming opportunities.  Additionally, this person has responsibility for identifying and pursuing fundraising opportunities that are appropriate to support the programs and activities of the University Libraries. S/he will also serve as the Libraries’ grants officer and will work with appropriate individuals to develop funding proposals. POSITION SUMMARY

View is seeking experienced Machine Operators for employment in its first high-volume manufacturing facility in Olive Branch, MS. The facility produces revolutionary, electrochromic, insulated glass units for installation in commercial and residential windows.

The positions will be assigned shift-work. Only candidates who are flexible to work multiple/various assigned shifts should apply.

The Machine Operator is responsible for producing quality electrochromic, insulated glass units by operating, monitoring and adjusting glass processing equipment, including glass handling, cutting, grinding, tempering, cleaning, coating, scribing and packaging machines.

This is a rare opportunity to excel within a Silicon Valley start-up company. These positions will be eligible for stock options. Candidates with experience as production leads and/or supervisors are strongly preferred.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Transferring optimal glass processing methods from Milpitas, CA pilot line facility to Olive Branch, MS high volume manufacturing plant;
• Maintaining production line operations by operating equipment, solving production process problems, making equipment adjustments, reporting production and quality data and referring unresolved issues to the supervisor;
• Achieving or surpassing established production standards;
• Preparing glass processing equipment by making setup adjustments and assisting with changeovers;
• Documenting glass production processes by completing logs, calculating statistics, and noting the receipt, flow and return of materials;
• Maintaining quality standards by conducting first-piece and line-clearance inspections;
• Preparing trainees for production responsibilities by demonstrating operating procedures;
• Observing safety rules at all times and reporting unsafe acts and conditions to supervisor;
• Keeping work areas clean, orderly and free of obstruction;
• Inspecting equipment parts to assure conformance to specifications;
• Servicing equipment as required (i.e. adding grease, lubricant, coolant, etc.)
• Completing production, productivity, inspection, downtime and safety reports;
• MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Explorer) and basic computer skills;
• Performing additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisors and managers.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

The ideal candidate will have the following experience, skills and abilities:
• 2+ years of production operations experience;
• Be a highly-motivated, team-player with a positive attitude who is also excited about learning new skills and assisting with various projects and assignments as necessary;
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance;
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective production of goods;
• Ability to physically push, pull and lift heavy loads up to 12 hours a day;
• Ability to read gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure proper machine operation;
• Excellent diagnostic, troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills;
• High tolerance of ambiguity and flexibility with respect to job roles and working hours;
• Working knowledge and understanding of, MSDS, lock-out/tag-out, and OSHA requirements;
• Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with production staff.

Preference will be given to candidates with the following:
• Experience as a production lead/supervisor in a manufacturing environment;
• 5+ years of production operations experience, particularly in high volume manufacturing;
• Experience in a glass manufacturing or processing industry;
• Experience in glass coating, semiconductor, disc drive or similar industries;

EDUCATION
• High school diploma or equivalent combined with required production operations experience is required.
