Director of Traffic

Job Summary: 

This position manages the employees and efforts within the Traffic Department. The primary responsibility of the position is the management of client services for both internal and external customers. Specifically in the area of radio operations as it applies to the support of the advertising sales structure and their customers.


  • Manage the Traffic Department and foster viable team atmosphere by demonstrating ability to interact effectively with iHM organizations and management structures:  Corporate and Revenue Management teams, CTO Markets and Partners
  • Collaborates well with various roles within the organization, internally and externally, via effective communication.
  • Timely response to requests of CTO leadership, Corporate, Revenue Management and Market leadership teams.
  • Supports culture of accountability and follow-through.
  • Involve all in the metrics, at least quarterly, via the BTQ method (Before the Quarter is 30 days prior to upcoming quarter). 
  • Identify TMs or market practices that need to be developed to improve performance, revenue, inventory and, ultimately, morale.
  • Displays strong organizational and time management skills. 
  • Exhibits a transparent, positive attitude, in a cooperative and professional manner.
  • Demonstrates a high degree of flexibility with the ability to work in constantly-changing environments.
  • A creative problem-solver with ability to listen and discern customized solutions to meet market/station needs.
  • Adheres to guidelines regarding attendance and punctuality, providing timely communication to CTO leadership for absences.
  • To improve efficiencies and budget expenses, secures the best path to complete task, while being mindful of cost.
  • Handles all Traffic aspects of assigned station(s) including Inventory Management and communication
  • Maintain Reporting Expectations
  • Be prepared to contribute to and execute fulfillment of written action plans, which have been approved by DCTO and VP/CTO, for market and CTO leadership.
  • Review and update various CTO reports to manage budget, payroll/overtime and staffing issues.
  • Provide timely expense report submissions.
  • Review and maintain WorkDay information on all CTO staff for accuracy, including titles, locations, use of timesheet codes, etc.
  • If an hourly employee, accurately reports time needed to complete CTO and non-CTO tasks, via approved Clock-in/Clock-Out method, seeking pre-authorization for any/all overtime required to complete job, including use of reason codes for OT
  • Deploys commercial advertising
  • Handles all Traffic aspects of assigned station(s) including Inventory communication with Sales Leadership for Seattle stations.
  • Produces daily commercial logs by obtaining information, importing orders, and capturing commercial advertising schedules
  • Enters commercial advertising schedules and maintains database by reviewing and resolving error reports with the ultimate goal of optimizing revenue
  • Interfaces with Sales Management regarding inventory issues. Collaborates with management, Account Executives and Sales Support to ensure commercial spots are executed in accordance with contract provisions.
  • Monitors changes and resolves Traffic department discrepancies
  • May require flexibility in work schedules.
  • May back up other Traffic Managers when sick or on vacation.


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Familiarity with Sales Force/Viero systems a plus
  • Familiarity with Tableau a plus
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Excellent time management; ability to plan and organize, set priorities and multi task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail, and high work standards
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a team

Work Experience

  • Prefer 5-10 years’ experience in Traffic
  • Traffic Leadership experience


  • High school diploma or equivalent

Family Safety Center of Memphis and Shelby County, Inc. is a non-profit organization located in Memphis, TN, whose purpose is to effectively combine civil, criminal, health and social services in order to help victims of family violence.  We are seeking a Coordinated Community Response Specialist who is highly motivated and organized to provide targeted community outreach to low-income African American women impacted by domestic violence.  This position will report to the Executive Director and will be an integral part of the growth of the organization. 


Job Title: Coordinated Community Response Specialist (CCR Specialist) 
Reports To:Executive Director Positions Supervised:None 
Hours:8:00am to 4:30pm Monday – Friday 
Other as required 


Job Summary: The Coordinated Community Response Specialist will review, recommend the creation or modification of policies, procedures, and protocols which will provide Shelby County with an interagency, victim focused response to underserved African American women impacted by domestic violence. The CCR Specialist will provide community outreach to the targeted population to overcome barriers to seeking services, to reduce stigmas associated with seeking help, and educate the community on domestic violence and local resources available.   This is a grant funded position. 


Communication and Outreach 

  • Solicit participation of victims and survivors for focus groups and one on one interviews. 
  • Develop outreach strategy for targeting this population including targeted neighborhood outreach, relationship building, etc. 
  • Develop communications plan including timeline to share findings with stakeholders including focus group response, research data, and recommendations.  

Research and Data Analysis 

  • Develop an interview guide and survey for interviews and focus group sessions. 
  • Communicate the qualifications for participation in one on one interviews and focus groups 
  • Conduct one on one interviews with victims and survivors  
  • Document client demographic data of participants  
  • Identify barriers and needs through data gathering including surveys, focus groups, FSC client data, etc.  
  • Work with FSC staff to provide tracking tools and data regarding domestic violence specifically as it relates to the targeted population in Shelby County. 
  • Document and disseminate data from focus groups and interviews to partner organizations, criminal justice professionals, and other stakeholders  
  • Analyze data to identify trends in experiences, barriers to resources and understanding personal truths and perceptions.   

Facilitation and Coordination 

  • Convene meetings with partners to make presentations, provide quarterly reports.  Develop other communication methods as needed. 
  • Engage with other community-based organizations and stakeholders to implement recommendations from victims and survivors. 

Program Development and Management 

  • Identify programming, promising practices, best practices, and innovative ideas related to interventions and initiatives serving this population and any trends and patterns gathered from FSC data. 
  • Make appropriate referrals to FSC for services for the targeted population. 
  • Participate in professional development activities. 

Perform other duties as assigned. 

Skills and Abilities 

  • Ability to apply logic in a multi-tasking environment. 
  • Ability to comprehends and process information quickly and accurately. 
  • Ability to maintain strong working relationship with co-workers, supervisors, law enforcement personnel and the public. 
  • Ability to communicate well with a wide range of staff, partners and organizations. 
  • Knowledge of community resources. 
  • Skill in writing clear and accurate correspondence, records, plans, reports and statistical data. 
  • Demonstrated computer experience with word processing or varied software required. 

Education and Experience 

  • Undergraduate degree in political science or similar discipline from an accredited program or associate degree with life experience. 
  • Knowledge of battered women’s experiences and the dynamics of battering and other forms of domestic violence.
