Gateway Group is working with the Census Department to run the “Everyone Counts!” Festival in Memphis: 1,000 fifth graders in the Shelby County School District will arrive at the Liberty Bowl on Oct. 28 to play games and learn more about the Census ahead of the 2020 count. After some opening remarks, the students will move to the field to take part in different activities (they will be broken into smaller groups ahead of time for this).
Once on the field, students will rotate between different stations. These stations will include field day-type activities (long jump, bean bag toss, etc.), arts and crafts, and pre-designed games that relate to the Census. We’ll need help running these stations and ushering the students between stations. We will provide staff with training during the morning before the event gets started.
We are looking for 90 temporary staff to be available 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. to assist with running this event on Monday October 28. The pay will be $16.00 an hour. The temporary staff would be able to take staggered 30 minute breaks and would be given free lunch.
All candidates will have to be drug screened and back ground checked before they can start.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Email Jered Haddad <firstname.lastname@example.org> as soon as possible so that he can start the pre-employment processes. We are using emails to track/confirm candidates, then will call them up to our office to complete new hire paperwork, drug screen, background checks, etc.
Please share with anyone who may be interested.
