Opportunities in October – Career Preparedness Initiative 10/22/19

Registration is open: https://opportunities_in_october_memphis_2019.eventbrite.com

What is Opportunities in October?
The City of Memphis has an important role to play in building a deeper pool of qualified workers and fueling economic growth. For our city to grow, we need an employable workforce that meets the needs of our city as well as address the issue of poverty.  A pathway out of poverty is to obtain a skill that will lead to gainful employment and/or place youth on a career path.

A collaboration with the City of Memphis Youth Services Division and Mayor’s Office of Communications, this all-day session for young people ages 16-24 will orient participants with soft skills as well as provide them with access to area community colleges and trade schools.
