MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have five years of proven experience in general maintenance in high-rise, hotel, commercial or similar environment. Well above general knowledge in areas of HVAC, electrical and plumbing. Ability to understand schematic diagrams and diagnose problems and work alone and yield measurable result at an efficient level. Must have a valid driver’s license, strong communication/interpersonal skills and the ability to work evening and weekends.

TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Maintain, repair, and install systems and their components for multiple brands and models of unitary HVAC systems, PTACs, split systems, mini split systems, heat pumps, refrigeration systems and exhaust systems.

2. Diagnose diverse HVAC service issues, obtain any replacement parts, and calibrate system to manufacturer’s recommendation.

3. Troubleshoot electronic, electrical and mechanical problems for all brands of cooking equipment, comfort and domestic water heating equipment, laundry equipment.

4. Maintain records and logs to show all servicing and maintenance of assigned equipment.

5. Prepare maintenance schedule; perform routine preventive and predictive service on assigned equipment at published intervals.

6. Proficient in understanding electrical and mechanical schematic diagrams.

7. Insure compliance with manufacturer’s warranty and service contracts.

8. Maintain a pre-determined level of spare parts, tools and equipment to insure a continuity or operation.

9. Other related duties as assigned.

•Perform diagnostic evaluation on equipment and make repairs when needed. Ensures that repairs are performed in the shortest amount of time possible to maintain the highest level of operational readiness.
•Performs preventive, corrective, and scheduled maintenance on a daily basis on a variety of machinery within the plant. This machinery includes autoclaves (steam sterilizers), fire tube boiler and ancillary equipment, steam delivery systems, water softeners and other water treatment equipment, air handling equipment, commercial washers, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and conveyor systems.
•Perform light electrical maintenance on all plant equipment to include 480V/240V/120V/24V power systems. PLC and light robotics troubleshooting and maintenance experience helpful.
•Perform any general work or other assignments necessary to ensure a safe, clean, healthy and efficient facility and vigorously support Stericycle’s commitment to Safety.
•Document results through completed work orders based on schedule and priority or as required.
•Performs other related duties as required or requested.

Works under the Deputy Chief of Operations and is responsible for oversight of office and warehouse staff, with day-to-day administrative operation of Tennessee Task Force 1 (TN-TF1).  Serves as the senior response official responsible for the development of leadership strategies, emergency response strategies, and holds a seat on the Executive Board of the Tennessee Task Force I (TN-TF1).  Responsible for working as a Task Force Leader to develop and execute policies and procedures, training and logistical plans that are  required a state of deployment readiness for activity mandated or requested by Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the State of Tennessee, or local authority.  Reviews the general operation of the Task Force to determine efficiency.  Provides direction on major projects or problem areas.  Plans for future projects or deployments.  Acts as liaison between Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Memphis Fire Administration and works through the USAR Grants Manager to direct fiduciary activities related to the Federal Cooperative Agreement (CA) funds for TN-TF1. Monitors closely all records of financial transactions in accordance with best business practices, City Policy, and requirements of the FEMA grants administration. Works with the USAR Grant Manager to accomplish accurate reporting on the quarterly, bi-annually, and annual reports required by the Cooperative Agreement (CA).  Works with the USAR Grant Manager to accomplish the Cooperative Agreement  (CA) application and the award process as well as tracking and monitoring of CA expenditures. Oversees and assists accurate completion of post deployment reimbursement packages.  Travels as part of the Tennessee Task Force I (TN-TF1) for deployments, meetings, and training events.
