
Position Title: Director of Finance & Accounting (Full-time)

Agape, a non-profit agency is seeking dynamic, motivated and assertive DIRECTOR OF FINANCE & ACCOUNTING.
The DIRECTOR OF FINANCE & ACCOUNTING reports to the Executive Director. Conducts the financial affairs of the agency and prepares financial analyses of its operations, including interim and final financial statements with supporting schedules. The financial statements are designed to inform and guide the management team, while providing accountability to the board and to external constituents. The DIRECTOR OF FINANCE & ACCOUNTING is responsible for the agency’s financial plans and policies, its accounting practices, the conduct of its relationships with the financial community, the maintenance of its fiscal records, the integrity of its financial systems, and the preparation of financial reports. The position involves supervision over cash management, grant accounting, grant and contract compliance, state and federal compliance, general agency accounting, cost accounting, and budgetary controls. The DIRECTOR OF FINANCE & ACCOUNTING will also be responsible for coordinating the scheduling and use of external auditors and consultants.
Education and Experience Requirement:
BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or related major, CPA certification or candidacy, 2-3 years of experience in public accounting or other relevant experience, demonstrated knowledge of current accounting standards applicable to non-profit institutions, prefer supervisory experience with professional staff, demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of people, excellent communication skills both verbal and written, proven ability as a problem solver and self- starter, excellent computer skills, and demonstrated user orientation. Preferred qualifications include: a master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Accounting or related field, 4+ years of experience with non-profits through public accounting or financial management, and 2+ years supervisory experience with professional staff.

Agape, a non-profit agency is seeking dynamic, motivated and assertive CLINICAL DIRECTOR. The CLINICAL DIRECTOR is responsible for the management and quality assurance of all clinical and other child and family program services provided by Agape, including the training and supervision of all clinical and program staff (Adoption, Maternity, Foster Care, etc.)
The CLINICAL DIRECTOR is also part of the Leadership Team, which supports compliance with all delivery of services to the fiscal, ethical and legal standards upheld by the Tennessee Board of Behavioral Sciences and the core values and mission of Agape Child & Family Services. In addition, as the CLINICAL DIRECTOR, this person will assist in providing leadership to all staff by creating a positive work environment and promoting the professional growth of supervisors in managing day to day operations to ensure fiscal and program service goal achievement according to Agape policies, practices, and procedures. Candidate must be innovative in thinking and flexible, as well as the ability to work independently are critically important. The CLINICAL DIRECTOR must be proficient in managing multiple grants, projects and/or contracts. This applicant will represent Agape as an articulate and professional spokesperson with effective public presentation skills and the capacity to communicate with diverse audiences, including high-level policy makers, community leaders, media representatives, and other advocates and colleagues. This person must have the ability to write and speak cogently and persuasively, and possess highly-developed collaborative abilities. Strong management skills with demonstrated capacity to recruit, retain, lead and marshal the talents of a diverse, professional, experienced, and creative staff, who are often themselves recognized as leaders in their particular areas. The CLINICAL DIRECTOR must also be capable of building trust while ensuring accountability. Timely and critical decision-making skills are necessary.
Education and Experience Requirement:
Desire a Doctorate Degree in Psychology (APA Approved) is required with licensure in the state(s) to clinically practice as a psychologist required. An experienced therapist having worked with a wide range of clients and client needs and diagnosis. Experienced in administering programs to ensure the organization meets each set of requirements to maintain funding sources; and managing the administrative aspects of an upper level management role. Also, should have a track record of being an effective speaker and presenter on issues related to families, mental health, prevention, communications, etc. Applicant must have demonstrated experience in this general field and at least 3-5 years of supervisory experience. Also, development/fund raising or related experience desired. Demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of people, excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, proven ability as a problem solver and self-starter. Will be required to work a flexible schedule; possibly be available evenings and weekends.
