Position Title: Master’s Level  Counselor

Treating women with Alcohol, Drug, and Co-occurring Disorders in a home-like setting.

Department:  Primary House Program
Reports to:  Clinical Director Days/Hours:  Mon-Fri, 40 Hours per Week
Salary:  Determined based on education & experience Deadline to Apply:  Until position filled

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Deliver counseling and group services to women with alcohol, drugs, and co-occurring mental disorders in a structured treatment program (ASAM Level III.5 & III.3).
  • Provide case management to special needs and homeless population.
  • Be responsible for helping to overseeing the needs of the residential facility.
  • Monitor clients and assist in day to day operations of the house.
  • Reports and Recordkeeping

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Master’s degree in a social science field required.
  • Licensure required, LCSW, LPC, or LMSW preferred.
  • Experience working with co-occurring population.
  • Prefer experience in a residential setting.
  • A working knowledge of the 12 Steps.  Prefer a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • If in recovery, a minimum of 3 years continuous sobriety.
  • Must have excellent organizational, verbal, written and computer skills.  Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Internet use.
  • Motivated to carry out directives with minimum supervision.
  • Knowledge of community resources and case management experience.
  • Understand and practice various therapeutic approaches to counseling and case management.
  • A positive, professional demeanor and maturity; the ability to deal with clients, the public and co-workers; exercise good judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions.
  • Submit a criminal background check, and must not currently be under supervision of the courts.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • LADAC in the state of Tennessee, or other licensing (LAPSW, LCSW, LMSW,etc.).
  • Experience working with co-occurring population.
  • Prefer experience in a residential setting.
  • A working knowledge of the 12 Steps.  Prefer a minimum of 5 years of personal experience with a minimum of 3 years continuous sobriety. Experience may substitute for some education.
  • Must have excellent organizational, verbal, written and computer skills.  Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Internet use.
  • Motivated to carry out directives with minimum supervision.
  • Knowledge of community resources and case management experience.
  • Understand and practice various therapeutic approaches to counseling and case management.

Shift: as needed on 7a-3p, 3p-11p, 11p-7a

 JOB DESCRIPTION

Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Secure the safety of the residential clients and facilities
  • Interface with public via phone and onsite, maintaining client confidentiality
  • Be responsible for overseeing various needs of the clients such as client and visitor interactions, client needs, etc.
  • Assist in day to day and weekend operations of the facility
  • Be on an ‘as needed’ employee listing, able to fill in as needed on any shift
  • Report to other staff important information regarding clients and facility
  • Work on various facility projects as directed by supervisor (computer skills needed)

 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Punctual and responsible.
  • High School diploma, GED or higher.
  • Computer skills: proficient in MS Word and able to navigate web based programs.
  • Experience working with co-occurring (substance abuse and mental health disorder) population.
  • Good crisis management skills.
  • Able to maintain professional boundaries with service recipients.
  • A working knowledge of the 12 Steps. 
  • A minimum of 3 years continuous sobriety if personally in recovery.
  • Must have good organizational, verbal, and written.
  • Motivated to carry out directives with minimum supervision.
  • A positive, professional demeanor and maturity; the ability to deal with clients, the public and co-workers; exercise good judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions.
