MISSION CONTRIBUTION:

To ensure the efficient and cost effective operation of the GGC through security of corporate assets, customer relations, sale of donated goods, accurate cash register operations in order to maximize profitability and increase training opportunities.

 

FUNCTION:

Under the direct supervision of the Team Leader Coach and ATL is responsible for customer service, cash register sales, facility security and maintenance, greeting and assisting customers, bagging/wrapping merchandise, displaying merchandise, cleaning cash wrap area, counters, and front of store, hanging, stocking shelves and rotating merchandise.

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

 

  1. A cashier is responsible for greeting customers in a prompt, friendly and courteous manner, offering assistance to customers in locating or selecting merchandise with the goal of providing 100% customer delight.

 

  1. Operates the POS to ensure accurate and efficient sales data, price, and information codes on merchandise.

 

  1. Cleans front doors, counters and glass frequently, dust cases, keep front of store clean, return shopping carts and baskets to appropriate areas, return unsold merchandise to proper area.

 

  1. Assists with promotions to include customer information, postings, special sign displays, etc.

 

  1. Stocks and maintains counter, showcases and cash/wraps in a neat and clean condition at all times.

 

  1. Assists in training new cashiers.

 

  1. Cleans dressing rooms and re-hang clothes as needed.

 

  1. Places apparel, wares, shoes, accessories, etc., onto sales floor in correct location and rotate merchandise from sales floor as needed.

 

 

 

  1. Adheres to all GGC and personnel policies and procedures; follow good safety practices including reporting safety hazards and injuries to the Team Leader Coach.

 

 

  1. Maintains GGC security, relating to theft or pilferage and handling of cash receipts, according to Agency and GGC policies and procedures.

 

  1. Performs assigned duties within the framework of our Guiding Principles:

  • We are committed to a clean, neat, and organized store.  The image of the store reflects Goodwill, the manager/TLC, and the team.
  • Donors should be greeted in 10 seconds.
  • We are committed to a full store with full inventory.

  • All donations should be processed within 24 hours.
  • If you have a pile, you have a problem.
  • Hard goods should be priority processed.
  • Material handling equipment is for moving donations, not storage.
  •  Don’t fall in love with your donations… rotation is critical to success.
  •  Donor Value should increase.
  • Profits should increase.

 

 

  1. May be asked to participate in activities outside of Goodwill.

 

  1. Attends in-service and related training as assigned by Team Leader Coach.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or General Equivalent Diploma preferred.
  • Minimum of six (6) months cashiering experience preferred.

  • Must be willing and able to work evenings and weekends.

To insure the efficient and cost effective operation and stewardship of the GGC through donor and customer relations, processing donated goods, quality control, in order to maximize profitability and increase training opportunities.

 

FUNCTION:

Under the direct supervision of the Team Leader Coach or designee, is responsible for customer service, facility security and maintenance, greeting and assisting donors, breakdown of donations and the maintenance of accurate donor records.

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

 

  1. Ensures 100% donor and customer delight.

 

  1. Greets donors in a prompt, friendly, and courteous manner; assist to unload donations from vehicles, offer tax receipts, maintain accurate daily counts of donations.

 

  1. Breaks-down donations into categories.

 

  1. Maintains drive-through and work area in a clean and organized manner.

 

  1. Transports trash to compactor/dumpster and operate compactor as needed.

 

  1. Adheres to all GGC and personnel policies and procedures; follow good safety and security practices including reporting safety hazards and injuries to the Team Leader Coach and ATL.

Under the direct supervision of the Team Leader Coach or designee is responsible for hanging apparel, transporting and hanging apparel onto sales floor and facility security and maintenance.

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

 

1.   Ensures 100% donor and customer delight.

  1. Place all salable apparel in the hang area of the sort table, tag and/or size apparel, hang apparel onto racks.
  2. Assist with quality control assurance (tears, stains, broken zippers, buttons).
  3. Transport racks of hung apparel to sales floor, assist with apparel rotation, dressing room checks as directed/needed.
  4. Maintains accurate hang count with the goal of 125+ pieces hung/hour.
  5. Maintains processing area in a neat and clean condition at all times.
  6. Assist Donor Greeter as needed.

FUNCTION:

Under the direct supervision of the Team Leader Coach or designee is responsible for customer service, facility security and maintenance, sorting and quality selection of donations into salable, salvage, and trash categories, pricing of merchandise, transporting merchandise to sales floor, stocking shelves, doing mark-downs, rotating merchandise and displaying merchandise.

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

 

  1. Ensures 100% donor and customer delight.

 

  1. Sorts donations into salable, salvage, and trash categories and place non-salable apparel, shoes, or handbags into salvage containers.  Places all other non-salable items (i.e. broken or non-functioning wares, electrical and mechanical, wet items, etc.) into trash.

 

  1. Prices merchandise using our baseline price guide; special price items of exceptional value.

 

  1. Keeps abreast of merchandise knowledge, industry trends and competitive pricing.

 

  1. Keeps pricing area clean and organized.

 

  1. Transports merchandise to sales floor, stock shelves, display and rotate merchandise, and performs mark-downs in compliance with agency policy.
