Purpose: Perform inside/outside general unskilled to semi-skilled manual labor duties associated with vehicle maintenance, housekeeping, grounds maintenance and warehouse depending on job assignment.

Must successfully complete Placement (Group 006 “General Utility and Custodial Workers”)/Performance Exercises. Must successfully complete Physical Abilities Test (PCM Level II). Must have a valid driver’s license from state of residence. Some jobs may require that you obtain a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s license from state of residence within trial or probationary period after entering classification..

Work environment: Works inside and outside. Subject to the hazards of heavy lifting and carrying; physical activities such as walking, standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, grasping. May be subject to noise, dust and dirt. Shift work may be required depending on assignment.

For all positions, candidates accepting employment with MLGW must live and maintain their residence within the boundaries of Shelby County, Tennessee within six months of their employment date. EOE M/F/D/V

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Plans, implements and controls the Center’s Health Services Program including Medical, Dental, Mental Health, Pregnancy, Drug Abuse, Sickle Cell and Optmetrical care. Coordinates the professional staff services, including the physician, dentist, dental hygienist, dental assistant, mental health consultant and optometrist. Please note other duties may include, but are not limited to, mentoring, student recruitment and placement.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) License in the State of Tennessee and have a minimum of three years experience in a hospital, physician’s office or public health setting with one year long term health care experience required.

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES: Certificate in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
A valid Regular Driver License is required.

NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE: Monday – Tuesday; 7:45 am – 4:45 pm
Wednesday; 10:00 am – 7:00 pm
Thursday – Friday; 7:45 am – 4:45 pm
Saturday and Sunday; OFF
